I’m Dena’ina Athabascan from the Native Village of Tyonek in Alaska, a Yooper by upbringing, and a proud carrier of Finnish sisu. Basically, cold weather and stubborn perseverance run deep in my DNA. I like to think my ancestors bonded over herbal tea, warm mugs, and surviving brutal winters—which explains why I believe a hot drink is a small but powerful act of love.

I fell hard for coffee in undergrad, back when staying awake required caffeine and cozy coffee shops felt like refuge. What stuck wasn’t just the buzz—it was the joy a good cup brings. Making that joy for others still feels like a gift my heart is grateful to give.

Copper Cup was born out of real life: hauling a six-month-old through feet of snow, zero parking, and a very strong need for coffee. We asked ourselves what our community needed most—and the answer was simple: quality coffee, fast, with genuinely good service for people on the move.

My husband Michael followed me to the U.P. from the high deserts of Eastern Oregon, lured by endless hunting, fishing, and—surprise—snow. Lots of it. Luckily, he’s hooked on the Northwoods now. A lifelong coffee aficionado with serious mechanical and building skills, Michael keeps Copper Cup running smoothly behind the scenes.

What customer information is collected?

When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. We collect your phone number in case we can’t reach you by e-mail about a problem with your order.

We do not collect personal or business information unless it is voluntarily provided.

In order for our shopping cart to properly function we use a standard technology called a “cookie.” On this site, they are used to track items in a customer’s cart and keep it in the database if the customer leaves the site, however you may also delete them from your computer immediately after finishing your shopping.

Force Majeure

Events outside Copper Cup’s control, which is not reasonably foreseeable, shall be considered a force majeure, meaning that Copper Cup is released from Copper Cup’s obligations to fulfill contractual agreements. An Example of such events is government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, ban, etc.

Payment

All products remain Copper Cup’s property until full payment is made. The price applicable is that set at the date on which you place your order. Shipping costs and payment fees are recognized before confirming the purchase. If you are under 18 years old, you must have parents’ permission to buy from Copper Cup.

All transfers conducted through Copper Cup are handled and transacted through third party dedicated gateways to guarantee your protection. Card information is not stored and all card information is handled over SSL encryption. Please read the terms & conditions for the payment gateway chosen for the transaction as they are responsible for the transactions made.

Returns

Coffee, drinks, and food products are not returnable. For apparel and other merchandise, you are entitled to an exchange or refund within 14 days of your purchase. Please note that the product must be returned unused, in original packaging including all tags. In case of refund neither the original shipping cost nor the return shipping cost will be repaid. Please email us to discuss an exchange or return and we will send our our mailing address. Our email address will be available on your receipt or you can use the Contact Us form to contact us.
