ABOUT OUR ROASTS: Details about our roasts and beans can be found on “Our Coffee” page.
ORGANIC BEANS: We source organic green coffee beans. While our beans meet organic standards, we have not completed formal certification, so our bags do not carry the official organic label. Rest assured, our coffees are grown and handled with the same care and practices you’d expect from certified organic beans.
WHOLESALE PRICING & UPDATES: Our wholesale pricing reflects the actual costs of sourcing, importing, and roasting our coffee. When we establish new purchasing contracts or transition to a different green coffee supply, our costs may change. We review and update our wholesale price list accordingly to reflect those changes.

COFFEE ORIGINS, SOURCING, & SEASONAL CHANGES: Coffee is an agricultural product, and no two harvests are exactly alike. While we work hard to maintain our relationships with the farms and producers we source from, the availability of green coffee beans can change from year to year. Even when we have an established relationship with a farm, a particular coffee may not always be available to purchase through our importer, Café Imports.
Several factors can affect availability and cost, including:
- Harvest quality and yields: Unfavorable growing conditions, pests, plant diseases, or inconsistent rainfall can reduce harvest volumes or affect bean quality.
- Weather and climate: Droughts, excessive rainfall, frost, and changing temperatures can damage crops, delay harvests, or affect the quality of the coffee produced.
- Economic conditions: Rising labor costs, fertilizer prices, transportation expenses, currency fluctuations, and changes in local market prices can influence what farmers produce and what it costs to bring their coffee to market
- Global trade and tariffs: Changes in U.S. trade policy, import tariffs, and international shipping costs can affect sourcing expenses and the availability of coffee from different countries. These factors have added cost pressures and uncertainty to our own sourcing, including coffee from Mexico and other origins.

OUR APPROACH TO CONSISTENCY: When a coffee we regularly source becomes unavailable or its cost or quality changes significantly, we do our best to find a suitable replacement that preserves the character of the roast you know and love.
We look for coffees with comparable characteristics, prioritizing the same growing region when possible, along with similar growing elevations, bean species and varieties, and processing methods. These factors help us maintain a consistent flavor profile and roasting approach, even when the specific farm or lot changes.
If we cannot find a suitable replacement that maintains the identity of the original coffee, we may introduce a new coffee with its own unique name and roast profile rather than compromise on quality or misrepresent its origin.
And sometimes, an old favorite makes a return! If a previously unavailable coffee becomes accessible again we are happy to bring that roast back.
Thank you for being part of our coffee journey and for growing alongside us!
